Q. An employee in our office regularly asks co-workers for small amounts of money and then never pays them back. We’ve all stopped giving him money, but he continues to ask, which makes many people feel uncomfortable. How do we get him to stop?
A. If he is doing this during the workday on work premises, you can advise him not to ask his co-workers for money. If he persists, you can discipline him, assuming that you have not acted differently with respect to any other employees who may have engaged in similar conduct.
