Georgia was the only Southeastern state to lose tech jobs last year, according to Cyberstates 2007, an annual report from technology trade association AeA, formerly the American Electronics Association.

North Carolina and Florida saw big gains, ranking in the top five nationally.

Still, Georgia remains the 11th-ranked “cyberstate” in the nation. Venture capital investments in Georgia rose by 44 percent in 2006, and the number of high-tech employers rose by 2.2 percent, indicating the state is poised for growth.
