Employers in Pennsylvania have reason to celebrate: A well-educated work force is growing in your state. A new survey ranks the state second in the nation in attracting out-of-state students to its colleges and universities.

The U.S. Education Department calculated net college student migration by comparing how many students enroll out of state to the number coming to Pennsylvania schools from other states. Florida had the highest net migration rate, New Jersey, the lowest.

You benefit from having ready access to college students and graduates and can "try before you buy" by offering internships and summer jobs. Contact your local college or university placement office.
