When completing I-9s this year, expect to receive a different-looking "green card" from some new hires. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently altered the design of the Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551), commonly known as the "green card." The new card features the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) seal on the front and prominently mentions DHS on the back. The new cards also include enhanced security features. Green cards already in circulation remain valid until their expiration date.
