Are you doing anything special at work on Inauguration Day?

by on
in The HR Specialist Forum

We have a lot of employees asking to take a couple hours off next Tuesday (or the whole day) to watch Barack Obama’s inauguration on TV. We're thinking about setting up a big-screen and buying lunch. Is anybody else doing anything special for this day?—Pat, NoVa

We plan on buying lunch for everyone and gathering around a TV in the break room. We think it’s a historic event and we’ve done it the past two inaugurations. The campaign produced some “interesting” discussions around here, so I think I’ll tell everyone to keep their political opinions to themselves.
