Gov. Jeb Bush has launched an initiative to open up more Florida jobs to people with disabilities. The campaign was created with assistance from the Jacksonville City Council, the Greater Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities and the First Coast BusinessNetwork.
"Florida's growing economy and job market should be open to the largest minority group in our state—persons with disabilities," Bush said.
The campaign encourages employers to recruit and hire qualified individuals with disabilities. A series of public service announcements will run on cable stations statewide.
