One of our subscribers, Lois in Pittsburgh, was alarmed by our recent article about the job market driving employees to go to extremes to look “youthful.”
She wrote, “Federal and state guidelines relating to discrimination of all types are very clear about protecting employees from this type of workplace harassment. Any employee who would be given an ultimatum to ‘do something about thinning hair’ or any other possible medical condition would do well to review the Americans with Disabilities Act.”
