Managers at public relations and marketing agency CRT/tanaka want employees to have a “what can be” spirit, so they reward three who do with $2,500 and a sabbatical each year.
The agency’s annual “whatcanbe award” winners have helped create “a bigger, brighter, better future” for the Richmond, Va.-based agency, its clients and the community at large, notes company spokesman Jeff Wilson. The 2010 winners were a VP, an associate VP and an art director.
The awards go to employees who are key to the firm’s most successful client, agency and community PR projects.
One of this year’s winners came up with the idea for Air New Zealand to advertise its “no hidden fees” policy in an ad campaign and safety video that featured employees wearing nothing but body paint. The videos went viral on the Internet.
