Two nifty tools: one that helps business travelers get more done, and one that helps executives get more done by avoiding travel.
1. Room77.com. The situation: You book a room for your boss, and the room turns out to be a stone’s throw from a noisy elevator. Next time, know what to expect by visiting this site, where you can search for rooms in 18 cities. Ask for a high or low floor, as well as a range of other preferences. The site creates a room-number match.
2. iMeet.com. The latest in online videoconferencing, this tool offers an easy way to set up a meeting. Enter each attendee’s email address, then click an “Add Guest” button. Attendees need webcams, but no software downloads.
Cost: $69 monthly for unlimited conferences up to 15 people.
