Question: We work in health care as executive assistants to support VPs and their directors and are looking for sources of pay-scale information.
We have researched our state's Department of Work and Economic Development, IAAP, the U.S. Dept. of Labor and Statistics, a local hospital within our region, jobsearch.com, salary.com and payscale.com.
We realize that health care salary scales are usually pretty rigid and, in many cases, well below those of other businesses. Are there any other sources that anyone would recommend? -- Anonymous in Missouri

What exactly are you looking for? It seems like you have covered the full spectrum of salary surveys. I just received a new copy from OfficeTeam from the IAAP Conference and the numbers for healthcare Exec Asst's are really good. Give that a try.

Whenever I need to find salary scales for like positions or for positions that have been reclassified etc. I normally will speak to other HR departments that provide the same type of work and I also speak to the Workforce Center which has also been helpful in determining a person's salary.

Radford is considered the gold standard for salary information, I believe. Our company uses their information for our comp & benefits packages. www.radford.com

One of our temp staffing companies (Office Team) provides us annually with a booklet of salaries. It gives salaries broken down by zones, industries and job titles. It is a great resource and I have found it quite truthful. Office Team is an international company. If you don't have one local to you, try visiting their website at www.officeteam.com.
