Tired of working, but still need a paycheck? Keith Smith apparently found a solution to that age-old problem, if only temporarily.
Smith submitted pay vouchers signed by a supervisor from Tampa Tank Inc. to Workers Temporary Staffing (WTS) in Tampa. WTS paid him more than $19,000 before realizing the vouchers were forged. Tampa Tank said Smith was never on the company’s payroll.
The downside of getting creative on the whole employment thing: Smith now faces charges of grand theft and forgery, among others.
