If you have used heading styles in your document using the Document Map feature is really handy. From the View Tab, and the Show/Hide Group, click the check box next the Document Map. Now, you can navigate to any section of the document by heading. You can even collapse and expand heading in the Document Map to make it even easier.
Using the Ctrl+G shortcut, Go To, you can also navigate by heading. You can also navigate by page number, caption, section, footnote and many other document elements.
Also on the View tab, in the Show/Hide Group, you’ll see a checkbox for Thumbnails. If you have a visual image in your mind about the composition of a particular page, using thumbnails can be another fast way to get around in your document.
