Home improvement giant Lowe’s is offering free health screenings to its employees. Lowe’s partnerships with health care providers throughout Pennsylvania mean employees will be able to get free checks of their blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, waist size, hip size, weight, height, body fat percentage and body-mass index.
Lowe’s representatives said the results should help employees stay healthier and help the company control costs in its self-funded medical plan. The company has been a leader in the retail industry in pushing workplace wellness.
Lowe’s operates 76 stores in Pennsylvania, with more than 11,000 employees.
It recently announced that it will fully cover heart surgery costs at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for any Lowe’s employee (or family member) from anywhere in the United States and Canada.
